Why connect
Describe the store, niche or product you are looking for. Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor calls EcomScout for you and returns a ranked answer.
Traffic, estimated revenue, installed apps, catalogs, price changes and new products. The same data as the EcomScout app, available inside your AI assistant.
Each tool combines several data sources, so the assistant gets a complete answer in one call instead of piecing it together.
Get competitor briefs, lead lists, supplier maps and trend reports as chat, documents or code. No exports and no copy-paste.
Watch a store, then ask what it sold this week or which ads it is running. Answers come from live Signals data.
Included with Starter and Pro. Calls use your plan quota. There is nothing new to buy and no API key to manage.
20 of 22 tools only read data and are labelled read-only, so assistants do not need to ask before calling them. The two remaining tools start or stop watching a store.
Calls count against the same daily limit as your app account and the Public API. There is nothing extra to buy. Usage shows up on your Integrations page.
Each tool merges several data sources (store profile, growth, bestsellers, apps, contacts), so one call returns a complete picture and suggests the next step.
https://mcp.ecomscout.com/mcpesc_ key on Starter and ProModel Context Protocol (MCP) is the open standard that Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and most AI agents use to call outside tools. EcomScout publishes its store, product and competitor data as an MCP server, so any of those assistants can look things up for you during a conversation.
No. When you connect, you sign in with your EcomScout account. The connector is included with Starter and Pro and uses your plan’s daily quota. Free accounts can connect, but every tool returns an upgrade message instead of data.
Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT (Developer mode / Apps), Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Codex and any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth.
Store traffic and revenue estimates refresh on a rolling snapshot schedule. Product catalogs and price changes are collected daily. Watched stores (Signals) are checked every day for units sold, inventory and ads. Every answer includes the snapshot date so you know how fresh it is.
Only two things: start watching a store and stop watching a store. Every other tool is read-only and labelled as such, so assistants can call them without asking you for confirmation.
Same data, different audience. The API is for scripts and custom agents and uses an esc_ key. The MCP connector is for people chatting with an assistant: no key, no code, and tools that already combine several endpoints into one answer.
Starter or Pro unlocks the connector right away. Connect once, then ask about any store, product or market in plain English.
